Creating A Pumpkin Tablescape

Oct 4, 2019 | Maggie Lane Designs, Tablescapes

Happy Wednesday everyone!!!  I was asked to repost my pumpkin table from last year so here it is.  I absolutely love these pumpkin dishes.  Not only were they reasonably priced, they are not heavy, are dishwasher safe, and so colorful.  Pair them with hints of blues and turquoise for a non-traditional look or stay true to fall colors with golds, oranges/rust, and even red!  Use a solid tablecloth in green to make the table pop!  When shopping for fall decor, don’t hesitate to stop at Walmart or log on to www.walmart.com for inspiration!  Looking for more fall/pumpkin/halloween inspiration?  Check out my blog post on a DIY project how to make a fall wreath (HERE).  Love to set up a fall tablescape in September?  Check out my September Sunflower table link at the bottom of this post.  Want to make your own centerpiece?  Grab branches from outside and spray paint them shimmery gold, add to a fall themed vase with silk flowers and berries for a statement piece.

It is the first Friday of fall and the weather has been really nice.  The leaves are starting to drop but it’s been a tad bit hotter than what I like this time of year.  I shouldn’t be complaining but I like a little crisp in the air right about now.  If you read my last blog post about what I’m loving, you already know I started decorating outside and now I have the inside finished.  I had bought fall decor last year and this year and put it all together.  Take a look!  Jake and Maggie helped me decorate this year!

I hope you enjoyed my pumpkin table.  I bought the dishes online last year at Walmart.com.  They came as a 16 piece set and what I like about them is not only the vibrant colors but the fact you can change the setting up by adding shades of blues and greens.  I found the matching table cloth a few weeks later in the store along with the butter dish and salt and pepper shakers.

The napkins came from Home Goods as well as the pumpkin baking dish.  I found them this year and can’t believe how well they match.  I was going to get fabric napkins but when I saw these, I had to get them!  They would look cute with table decor of fruits also.

The floral arrangement came from Kirklands this year.  I hit a sale and was so excited because this floral was originally $39.95 and I got it for $14.00!!!  The wine glass were the glasses I found at the dollar store that I had on my   ” September Sunflower” table and the silverware was a gift from my parents years ago.

I found the little cloth pumpkin that says “Welcome Harvest” at a craft store in Weirton, WV called Country Delights & Bling II.  If you get a chance, check out her store at 352 Pennsylvania Avenue!  Debbie has crafts, jewelry, clothes, and purses with lots of bling!

The cloth pumpkins and wooden stand on my entry way table came from Home Goods this year.  It’s hard to see in the picture but they have a little bit of shimmer to them.  These are perfect in an entry way, fireplace mantle, buffet table, or in the middle of a dining room table.  They are lightweight too!!
