White Hot Chocolate Bomb

Equipment

  • chocolate bomb molds
  • Spoon
  • Bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp hot chocolate mix I used Puppy Paws Coffee Co
  • 1 handful marshmallows I sprinkled the mini marshmallows in
  • 2 candy canes broken into pieces Or you can leave these out and add to side of glass for stirring
  • 1 bag white chocolate morsels Use a good quality white chocolate

Instructions

  • Melt white chocolate in microwave for 30 second increments until creamy and can be stirred
  • Clean molds and line with coconut oil. I used a Scott towel and made sure there were no clumps of coconut oil
  • Using a spoon, fill molds half way and push chocolate up making sure it lines the mold completely
  • Leave alone until chocolate sets and hardens. You can also speed the process up by putting into the refrigerator
  • Once the chocolate has set, remove molds
  • Fill bottom mold with your favorite hot chocolate mix and ingredients
  • Take top mold and rub ring on a warm plate to melt the chocolate slightly so it can be sealed with bottom mold
  • Wipe up any extra chocolate and let sit
  • Repeat until all molds are filled
  • Heat up a cup of milk (I used whole milk) and add chocolate bomb to the milk. Watch it come apart, bubble up, and stir

Notes

These can make a wonderful gift.  Add chocolate bomb to a decorative bag, tie with a festive ribbon, purchase a pretty mug, add a spoon, and write up the recipe for someone special.
