Cook bacon and set to the side
Slice the mozzarella and marinate with olive oil and herbs
Slice tomatoes, add fig preserve, a little bit of the olive oil from the cheese, garlic salt and pepper. Saute until tender on medium heat
Add cheese and turn off heat
Spread butter on bread and toast in a pan on both sides
Remove the bread from the heat and layer it with mayonnaise, lettuce, bacon, tomatoes, and cheese. Serve warm.
