Holiday Gift Ideas Part 2
I hope you enjoyed my previous post on Holiday Gift Ideas and wanted to share more with you. It all depends on how much you want to spend and how elaborate you want to go, but here are some gift basket ideas that might appeal to you. And we must not forget to give the gift receipts just incase your friends and family need to return anything! I never get offended when someone returns my gift. I want them to enjoy it and if they don’t like it, I want them to get something that they will enjoy. Here are some ideas as well as small businesses to consider ordering from!!
Gift basket full of dog and cat stuff – For those crazy pet people (I can say crazy because I’m a crazy dog person lol!), a bag of toys and treats for my pet is an awesome gift. Pet Supplies Plus, PetSmart, Chewy.com, and Amazon are some of the bigger stores but you can also check out and support the smaller businesses. I think I will be doing both this year. I have made some great relationships with small business owners such as Aki-Oka Pet Boutique, ThePamperedPooches, and Tori from Wear, Wag, Repeat at www.wearwagrepeat.com! I just bought my parents dog his entire gift from the Wear, Wag, Repeat store and the items were so cute. I started ordering Jake and Maggie’s Christmas presents from ThePamperedPooches and their new bow ties and flower buckle are sooo cute. Those photos will come soon!
Gift basket of gift cards – My sister and I made up a basket last year of all of my parents favorite places to eat. We set a limit, got the cards, and then put the basket together as if it was a big flower arrangement. I stopped at Kroger and they gave me the sticks that they use to put the name cards on and we used them to hold the gift cards. I wrapped the basket in a clear cellophane and tied it with a big bow!
Movie night basket – If you are wanting ideas as to what to get someone and you know they love going to the movie theatre, a gift card to that theatre and a dinner gift card would be a nice gift a free night out on you!
The handyman gift basket – Honestly, I would love this gift soooo much! Anyone who owns a home or recently bought a house, this is a great gift. Depending on how much you want to spend, you could throw in a tape measure, hammer, tacks to hang pictures, gift cards, small tools, the list goes on. Even just purchasing a tool bag or tool box is a great idea. Thomas bought mine at Lowes last year for $14.99! He got me one years ago and I still love and use it. It had everything I needed in one bag. One was purple and the other was pink!
The pampered gift basket – For those girly girls (like me!), a basket full of nail polish, nail polish remover, cuticle and hand creams, or gift cards to a nail salon for a spa day is a great gift! Making a purchase from Bath and Body Works is always a big hit. They have tons of sales, free gifts with purchase, gift baskets, and are always coming out with new holiday scents.
The spice in us gift basket – I mentioned in my first post about giving a gift for those foodies, giving a basket of different spices and dipping sauces is a great gift. You might want to add different flavored crackers which is a nice touch. An added bonus is spice jars from Ikea :-).
The morning coffee and tea basket – For those coffee lovers or tea lovers, putting together different flavors of coffee, tea, and creamer is a great gift. Adding a beautiful mug (or two) along with a bag of hot chocolate wouldn’t hurt either. Maybe adding a gift card from Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts is a special treat to. I just purchased flavored coffee from Grounds and Hounds and will be making a purchase from Puppy Paws Coffee Company who are my friends on Instagram. What I love about both of these business is that some of their proceeds goes to animal shelters and helping animals in need.
