Adrenal Disease In Dogs
Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today, we are talking about Adrenal Disease In Dogs. I can speak firsthand on this because we just found out Maggie, after many tests, has bilateral tumors on her adrenal gland that indicate a possible benign growth. She may also have Cushing's Disease, which I’ll explain below. First, I would like to send out love and prayers to those affected by the plane crashes in Philadelphia and DC—our condolences to those lost and to the families who are suffering. We...
Happy New Year + Fun In Pittsburgh, PA
Happy New Year everyone! Are you excited and looking forward to what the year will bring? Did you make any resolutions? I did! I do every year. Some I keep and some I don’t, but I’m excited to learn more about manifestation and manifesting what I want in both business and personal life. I started writing down a positive quote every morning last year, and you know what….it helped me. I make myself and Mr. TAL a pot of coffee every morning and while the dogs are eating their breakfast and...
Dad’s Sugar Cookies
Happy Thursday everyone! Growing up, my Dad’s Sugar Cookies were a family favorite around the holidays. When my sister and I were young, my parents would make this sugar cookie recipe with us every Christmas. I can still remember my dad standing at the table mixing up the colored icing for us to ice the cookies. We grew up in a 100-year-old farmhouse that my parents renovated throughout the years. Our kitchen was stylish and cozy, and we would sit around our big round farmhouse table...
Pet Products And Stocking Stuffers For Your Pet
Happy Friday everyone! Today, we are talking about Busy Blankets! Every so often, I post about pet products I’ve tried and loved. The Busy Blanket by The Peppy Pup turns playtime into a scent-seeking mission that keeps your pup busy up to five times longer than other snuffle mats. When Sheena Larson, owner of The Peppy Pup, (Instagram @thepeppypup1) contacted me about collaborating, I was excited to try her product. Jake and Maggie have used snuffle mats before, but this seemed to...
Butternut Squash Orzo Spinach Salad With Candied Bacon
Happy Wednesday everyone! This colorful, healthy, delicious Butternut Squash Orzo Spinach Salad With Candied Bacon and a sprinkle of fresh feta cheese is a fall party favorite. But honestly, you can enjoy this salad all year long! I first saw this on Half Baked Harvest but you know me…I made some changes to the recipe and here we are! It’s one of Mr. TAL’s favorites. I always ask him if a recipe is blog-worthy or cookbook-worthy and he said both! So you might just see this again :-)....
End Of Summer
Happy Wednesday everyone! This End Of Summer post is just that…some of the fun things Mr. TAL (If you are new to the blog, Mr. TAL is my husband Thomas - Mr. Two Adorable Labs), myself, Jake and Maggie got to do over the summer. Per my last email, I’ll be posting once a month for now while I finish my 4th cookbook, along with some other projects which I will tell you about later, and will resume posting once a week starting in January. If you have anything you would like me to talk about or...

Is Mulch Bad For Dogs?
Happy Wednesday everyone! Is Mulch Bad For Dogs? When Jake and Maggie were puppies, I couldn’t keep their little mouths out of our mulch beds. Jake was the worst. He would literally hide a small rock or a piece of mulch in his mouth to take inside. We had to watch them both like a hawk and check them before coming in to the house. They both learned the commands “Drop It” and “Leave It” very quick :-). They just turned 7 on Saturday so it didn’t kill them but I never thought it was ok....
Can Dogs Detect Illness?
Happy Wednesday everyone! Can Dogs Detect Illness? Dogs are incredibly smart. Mr. TAL and I brag all the time about how smart Jake and Maggie are. Each have their own strengths with has been fun to see them develop. I wonder that, if we ever got sick (God forbid), would they be able to sense what was going on. Today’s post is about the questions and answers on the dog’s ability to detect sickness in humans and other dogs as well. Can you tell which doggo doesn't want to take pictures?...
