White Chocolate Covered Oreos
The cost is minimal (total $17.80 with supplies leftover) to make and I got everything at Walmart. I bought both golden Oreos ($3.18) and double stuffed chocolate Oreos ($3.67), 4 inch x 9.5 inch clear treat bags with twist ties 25 pieces ($1.98), sprinkle mix ($3.24), and 4 8 oz bags of candy melts ($1.88 each). I only used 2 bags and made 20 Oreo cookies. I bought doggie paw ribbon ($1.97) and the mugs were given to me as a Christmas gift last year. My sister bought them at TJMaxx. Dishes from Walmart and Buffalo Checked Board from Kirklands – shop post see below.
This recipe is incredibly easy. Melt 2 8 oz bags in the microwave for 2 minutes. Take out after 1 minute and stir. Put back into microwave and watch not to burn the chocolate. Stir until all melts are melted into a creamy chocolate. Dip the Oreos into the chocolate and using a spoon, cover Oreos with chocolate, lay out on wax paper, cover Oreos with your choice of sprinkle mix, and let sit so that the chocolate has time to harden. Wrap in plastic wrap, tie with a bow, or add to your favorite holiday tray. These Oreos can keep in the refrigerator for up to one week but in our house, they never last that long!
