Frozen Yogurt Blueberry Bones

Jul 24, 2020 | Pets, Treat Recipes

Happy “Friday Treats Friday” everyone!  What fun plans do you have this weekend? If you read Wednesday’s post Caprese Sandwich (HERE), I told you about our project building custom cabinets in our garage.  Well, we have been working really hard for a while now so we are taking Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off to enjoy some down time and to celebrate our Anniversary!  We have been working late into the evenings but I wanted to make something healthy for the pups but quick and simple at the same time.  I had Plain Greek Yogurt and Blueberries in the refrigerator just waiting to be made into a treat!

I know one thing…Jake and Maggie were wagging their tails as soon as I took these treats out of the freezer!  I think they know what “Friday Treats Friday” means!!!

Yogurt blueberry treats
Blueberries and Yogurt
Frozen Yogurt Blueberry Bones
Ingredients:
Plain Greek Yogurt
Blueberries (as many as you want)
Instructions:
Add blueberries to your mold
Spoon yogurt on top of blueberries
Freeze until solid

I ordered bone shaped molds from Amazon and filled them with yogurt and blueberries, and plopped them into the freezer for approximately 2 hours!
I used whole blueberries instead of cutting them up or blending them in the blender.  CAUTION:  When giving your pup these yogurt blueberry bones, they can get messy!  I would recommend you give these treats on a hard surface floor or even better, outside!
NOTE:  You can also make this same recipe by putting the blueberries and yogurt into a blender mixing them up into more of a puree.  Fill whatever molds you are using, fill up a plastic cup, or use a Popsicle mold for a delightful, healthy snack for your pup!

Thank you! Yes, dinner with your pup! Whatever I create for them, I can also eat if I want. That’s the neat thing about making these healthy treats. Jake and Maggie LOVED these yogurt treats.
