Barking Bananna Pancakes With Buddy Budder

Feb 6, 2022 | Pets, Products, Treat Recipes

Happy Monday everyone!  I made these amazing and delicious Barking Bananna pancakes from barkBISTRO last week and the dogs LOVED them!  I was so excited to get my post out on Friday and while smack in the middle of uploading all of my pictures, our power went out!  An ice storm hit the area leaving us without power for two days but we were all good.  The fireplace was on and our gas stove got us through.  These oat flour + banana + chia seeds + vanilla pancakes with Buddy Barking Bananna Budder topping kept the dogs happy and content.

They are incredibly easy to make by adding 3/4 pancake mix and 3/4 cup of water, mix well and cook on medium heat in a “very” lightly greased skillet.  Flip once and serve with your Buddy Budder topping packed full of peanuts + banannas + chia seeds + honey!  And yes…I am saying bananna with 2 n’s :-).  I add a dab of canola oil and then wiped it out of the cast iron skillet with a Scott towel.

barkBISTRO is a woman owned company made in the USA by happy dog lovers.  100% wiggle butt approved and yes, Jake And Maggie approved!  No added sugar, salt, hydrogenated oils, xylitol, or alcohols.  These products are manufactured in a facility that uses peanuts so if you pet has allergies, you need to consider this.  Stack them for Gotcha Days (your pet’s adoption day) and Barkdays with candles (celebrating their birthday)!  Serve up “brunch with your pup” and just because you are an cool, awesome dog mom!

Making this recipe is exactly like making pancakes for humans.  You can add more or less water depending on the thickness you want.  I made 3 thin pancakes out of this recipe and in between each pancake, I add a heavy amount of Buddy Budder to each pancake and topping off with a few more spoonfuls.  You can make them for your pet for breakfast or use as treats which is what I did.  Another fun option would be to use a mold to cut out a cute paw print in your pancake to make it an extra special treat.  Also, don’t forget to stir your Buddy Budder once opened before serving as I forgot to do that!
