Berry Wine Spritzer

Jul 13, 2020 | Drinks, Food

Happy Wednesday everyone!  We are half way through the week and what better way to celebrate than to have this Berry Wine Spritzer I made last weekend for a get together at our house.  I set a casual table (that post will come next week), made homemade spinach artichoke dip and garlic parmesan wings as an appetizer, Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and crispy potatoes for dinner, and a Oreo cookie/Snickers ice cream cake for dessert.  What I like about going to a get together or having one at the house is having something out when the guests arrive.  It’s so fun to see a festive drink in a glass punch bowl with a large wine glass next to it 🙂  With a spritzer in one hand and appetizers in the other, we got the party started!
This is not a strong drink but a light fruity one.  I was shooting for making a mimosa but got this instead.  I was happy with my choice.  If you are looking for a mimosa to kick off Sunday brunch at your house, mix 1 bottle of Moscato, 2 cups of orange juice, and 2 cups of ginger ale together.  Throw in some fruit for color and you have another drink to enjoy!!

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 1.5L Arbor Mist White Zinfandel Exotic Fruit Flavor
  • 16 oz Sprite
  • 1 cup orange juice, pulp free
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 cup raspberries

Instructions

  • In a punch bowl, combine wine, sprite, and orange juice and stir
  • Wash orange and cut into slices and then halves
  • Wash 1 cup of raspberries
  • Lay oranges and raspberries on top of punch but you can use whatever fruit you like

Notes

This is a light fruity drink recipe that is not strong and can be changed to what you like.  Want more fizz, add more Sprite.  Want more tang, add more orange juice.  Want more wine, add two bottles!  This recipe worked perfectly for 4 people but if you have more party guests, you can always double this recipe to accommodate more people.  Enjoy!!!
