Book Review – A Must Read!

Nov 3, 2020 | Book Review, Life

Happy Wednesday everyone!  This is my third book review and I just have to tell you about this book I just finished reading.  It’s the second book from authors Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen “An Anonymous Girl”.  And just like their first one “The Wife Between Us”, it leaves you in suspense the whole way through to the end leaving you in shock as to who the victim is.

The New York Times calls it “A fiendishly smart cat-and-mouse thriller.”  Glamour said”Buckle up, because you won’t be able to put this one down.”

A good book, the fireplace on, under my favorite blanket, with the dogs next to me!

What better way to enjoy an evening!

An Anonymous Girl

Seeking women ages 18-32 to participate in a study on ethic and morality.  Generous compensation.  Anonymity guaranteed.  When Jessica Farris signs up for a psychology study conducted by the mysterious Dr. Shields, she thinks all she’ll have to do is answer a few questions, collect her money, and leave.

Question #1:  Could you tell a lie without feeling guilt?
But as the questions grow more and more intense and invasive and the sessions become outings where Jess is told what to wear and how to act, she begins to feel as though Dr. Shields may know what she’s thinking…and what she’s hiding.

Question #2:  Have you ever deeply hurt someone you care about?
As Jess’s paranoia grows, it becomes clear that she can no longer trust what in her life is real, and what is one of Dr. Sheild’s manipulative experiments.  Caught in a web of deceit and jealousy, Jess quickly learns that some obsessions can be deadly.

Question #3:  Should a punishment always fit the crime?
Should it?  A novel about doubt, passion, and just how much you can trust someone.

Book Review An Anonymous Girl

I have to apologize that I missed posting on Monday due to a crazy weekend of re-creating my cookbook.  I put together a cookbook of over 350 pages and was told by my printer too reduce it in order to be able to sell at a reasonable price.  After working on it, I still didn’t meet the requirements.  Thomas and I sat down together and worked all weekend long making sure that it is on point for production and sale.  With only a few more edits, we should have it done by this weekend with less pages without leaving out content and pictures.  I’ll order 1 more copy, make any edits needed and be able to publish on my online store on BookBaby.com and my store front through TAL.  I will keep you posted as some of you are waiting to order for Christmas gifts. I promise it will be done in time.  Once your order is placed, shipping takes only two days.

If you love to read like I do, check out these posts, the books I read during quarantine (HERE) and, as stated above, The Wife Between Us (HERE).  If you like my book reviews, I can do more for you as I read all of the time.  Comment below and let me know!!  If you’ve got a good book that you have read, I would love to hear about it.
