This adorable tablecloth was purchased on Amazon (one similar here) a few years ago for Jake and Maggie’s birthday party.  These dishes have been used in other tablescapes but I added these festive Valentine’s sticks that I found at Walmart.  I simply just displayed them across the dishes but they could be used in floral arrangements, wreaths, added to napkin holders and napkins, added to a gift bag or present, used as decor in a cheese plate, charcuterie board, or dessert tray.  Another idea would be to add plain white dishes to each setting.  I love stacking dishes with different sizes, shapes, and patterns!

Because I have guests coming over for dinner, I wanted to keep a low profile on the table and what better way to do that but to use my Two Adorable Labs candles!  I bought these adorable red and white heart bowls at TJMaxx in Steubenville, OH and filled them with Lindt Lindor candies in white chocolate and strawberry and milk chocolate and white chocolate cream filled.  More on those in my next post about my Galentine’s Tablescape next week.  I thought the red bowls and the red labels on my candles matched perfectly with the table plus Strawberry Parfait seemed to fit nicely with the holiday.  (Hint:  I’m making dark chocolate strawberry cupcakes for my guests). Get it?  Strawberry Parfait and Strawberry cupcakes? :-).  I have a scent called Dark Chocolate.  Maybe I’ll make some Dark Chocolate scented candles!  They smell delicious.  Oh and just an idea…my Dark Chocolate candle and a bag of candy would make a great Valentine’s Day Gift for a special someone!!!  If you are new to the site, we launched our candle line last year and have over 20 scents now.  We just started our “Candle Of The Month” subscription where you can pick the size of candle and scents you like and one is delivered to your door each month with a surprise gift inside.  You also have the option of getting them professionally gift wrapped.  Check out our store here for more information!  These bowls can be filled with whatever you like but I liked the idea of the matching candies.  They add some sparkle to the table and give guests something extra sweet to eat besides what I’m making for dessert.

Speaking of adorable…Let’s talk about Jake And Maggie for a second!  They are wearing the Retro Valentine’s Bow collection from The Pampered Pooches in red and white.  I had the option of getting the bow tie for Jake or a tie and chose what he is wearing instead.  I’m glad I did because he looks so handsome, doesn’t he?  I decided on the extra large for him and the large sailor bow for Maggie.  I have ordered flowers in the past for her but think the sailor bow is so adorable!  I always make sure they match!

I used these placemats in last year’s tablescape and just turned them over this year!  The entire table came from Home Goods, Walmart, and TJMaxx.  The adorable wooden black Labrador paired so well with my theme and was a gift from a friend at Christmas.  I found the cutest red ceramic house at Walmart and with a click of a button, it lights up!  Walmart has really stepped up their game for Valentine’s Day and has an entire isle filled with ideas!  I took pictures both at night and during the day and with lights on an off to give you a good idea of what the table looks like for an afternoon brunch or an evening dinner.  I’m still searching for pet themed dishes so keep your fingers and paws crossed I find them.  Mr. TAL can lift Jake And Maggie on the chairs for me so I can take pictures!  Wouldn’t that be cute :-).  We did the once when I put my cookbook out.  It was an ordeal but we got it done.

I chose the traditional red for this table but the Pantone Color Of The Year is Very Peri (purple).  I’ve seen people use purple in their Valentine’s decor and honestly, I like it.  How about red, purple, and these dishes????  Maybe next year?  I hope you enjoyed my tablescape and as always, if you want me to research a topic for you whether it be pet related, fashion, beauty, or home decor, please let me know!  I would be happy to reach and post for you!  Do you have some fun ideas for a table?  Comment below and let me know!  Enjoy!

      Awh thanks so much! I bought that tablecloth when I had Jake and Maggie’s first birthday party. I used it to cover their treat table! Now it makes for a perfect table cover for a tablescape! Plus I’ll most likely use it again this year for another pawwty 🙂

    First of all, Jake and Maggie look adorable in their festive bows! So so cute! I love the paw print tablecloth and especially live that cute little house that lights up and the Valentine Day picks! Girl you are making Walmart look good! And Home Goods and TJ Max!       LOl! Thank you so much! I got Jake And Maggie special Valentine’s bows just for that day. Can’t wait to show them off! I thought that little house was so cute when I found it. It came in cream but you know me…I love RED!
