Salt and Pepper Wings

Feb 25, 2020 | Appetizers, Food

I had a completely different post to put out today but had to rearrange my posting schedule to include this one.  Thomas wanted wings with just salt and pepper. I said…are you sure?  I felt like I need to add more ingredients but he said…sometimes less is more and I said….sometimes you are right :-).

For my new subscribers, I have talked about my cookbook I am working on called Sit, Stay, Eat and this recipe fits in line with the type of cookbook I am writing.  The recipes do not require a ton of ingredients but have lots of flavor.  These wings do not disappoint.  Because I have incorporated my love for my dogs and my love for cooking and baking on the blog, I wonder if I should call this cookbook Two Adorable Labs And A Cookbook.  I will for sure include them as well as doggie recipes.  What do you think?  What do you like better…Sit, Stay, Eat or Two Adorable Labs and A Cookbook?

Ingredients:

2.5 pounds of wings (I used a bag of frozen wings and thawed them out)
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Olive Oil (I used Extra Virgin Olive Oil)

Directions:

Coat the wings with salt, pepper, and olive oil
Spray a baking sheet with PAM cooking spray
Lay wings so they are not touching
Drizzle more Olive Oil on top
Bake at 475 degrees for a half hour until crispy

Note:  I set the oven for 45 minutes but noticed that after 30 minutes the wings were done.

This is it!!  These wings came out crispy, salty, peppery, and delicious!  Baking or frying wings is incredibly easy and all flavors of seasonings can be used.  Thomas wanted something simple and that is what he got.  I added a side salad with shredded parmesan cheese and Italian dressing.  I was done in no time making lunch and it was easy clean up  :-).
