Simple Decor For A Half Bath
We are one week closer to Christmas! Can you believe it?!! Is everyone decorated and ready to go? I have everything done except my table scapes which I plan to do tomorrow night. Over the next few weeks, I plan on showing you more of the house and I thought this couldn’t be a better time to show you our half bath on the first floor. This room was a plain boring off white room with no decor when we bought the house. I finally got this room done and then it was time to decorate for the holidays. I did not want a heavy look of Christmas decor because the room is only a half bath but changing out the towels and adding a festive nightlight gave the room the perfect touch.
The floral picture from Kirklands from a few years back was my jumping off point for the whole room. They say to never mix metals but I can tell you that I have every color of metal in this small room and it’s what I love the most about it. I enjoy mixing metals together and seeing how they work in a room.
I chose to enhance the colors of the flowers and the different shades of metals by choosing a gold for the walls from Sherwin Williams. The room does not have natural light so I chose something on the brighter side vs. darker. The old mirror was a flat square plain boring mirror that I replaced with this oval mirror from the At Home store for $24.99.
The Burgundy towels were purchased from Gabrielle Brothers and the holiday towels were purchased last year from Home Goods Store. They are a Lenox brand and extremely soft.
The dark embossed nightlight came from Walmart and the Christmas lantern night light was a Christmas gift from several years ago as was the snowman soap pump. That is purely decor because I am a fan of Bath and Body Works Foaming Hand Soaps.
The bath cup, waste basket, and tissue box was purchased this year from Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
The metal flowers were purchased this year from Hobby Lobby at buy one get the second 50% off.
We changed out the sconce lighting with lights from HOUZZ.com.
And finally, the candle holder and candle was purchased in Missouri from TJMaxx and brought back with me.
All I had to do to transition a bathroom from every day to holiday was switch out the towels and with the night light on and the flameless candle on at night, the bathroom is a cozy room.
