Happy Monday everyone!  I took a week off to enjoy the first of the year and get some major cleaning and organizing done!  What better way to get back into posting than to talk about an amazing little pup and our furry friend, Bow Tie Boone!

You may have heard me mention him before.  Boone is the face and ambassador of Joey’s P.A.W., a non-profit raising money for animals in need of wheelchairs and prosthetics.  His pawrents, Tanya and Charlie who started Joey’s P.A.W., have dedicated their lives to helping animals like him who have suffered at the hands of their abusers or born with a disability.  To date, over 1,000 animals have been helped and are experiencing the joy and mobility they so very well deserve.

Joey’s P.A.W. is the reason I wrote my Sit, Stay, Eat Cookbooks to help raise money and created the “Bow Tie Boone” odor eliminating candle.  A portion of the proceeds from the books and 100% of the profits from the candle go to Joey’s P.A.W.

Boone is not only best friend to Jake and Maggie, fur brother to his other siblings with disabilities, but a member of the PITPAWS Program at the Pittsburgh Airport as a therapy dog to help passenger with travel anxiety.  He is a beacon of light to anyone who meets him.  When relaxed, his smile is infectious but takes his therapy work very seriously.

Tanya, Boone’s momma, has written a children’s book called Bow Tie Boone available via Two Adorable Labs, Joey’s P.A.W., and Amazon as well as Bow Tie Boone & Friends Coloring Book available at Joey’s P.A.W. and Amazon.  Look for it on Two Adorable Labs soon!  Why?  Because Jake and Maggie are in it!!!!

Boone recently won the 2021 Hero Dog Award beating out hundreds of dogs first in his therapy dog category and then over all 7 categories.  You can find him on Instagram @a.miracle.named.boone where you can see him each morning wearing a delightful smile and an adorable bow tie from his extensive collection.  Sometimes he is will his fur sister Anabelle @anabelles_army and fur brother Joey @joeydiable!
