New Year’s Eve Table 2021

Dec 30, 2021 | Maggie Lane Designs, New Year's, Tablescapes

This is a re-post.  It is day 23 of The 24 Days Before Christmas and I wanted to showcase my New Year’s Eve tables from previous years incase you are staying home and having dinner.  It’s always fun to set a festive table to kick off the new year.  This table serves two holidays!  One for New Year’s Eve and the other for New Year’s Day!

Happy Thursday everyone!  I’m so excited to show you my New Year’s Eve Table 2021.  This table is casual with a touch of fancy!  It’s perfect for evening dinner New Year’s Eve or breakfast, lunch, or dinner New Year’s Day!  I wanted a combination of red, white, silver, plaid, glass, Santa, trees, and bulbs for a festive look.  I loved taking pictures with the lights dimmed, candles burning, and these adorable lighted figurines I purchased last year from Lenox!  See my videos and where I got everything below!
These Santa dishes are a perfect size for setting your table and using as a dessert or appetizer dish.  They say Joy, Hope, Love, and Peace on them which I love.

The centerpiece on this table is made up of two holiday door hangers I found in the Christmas isle at Walmart. I placed them together with the hooks touching, spread out the greens and bulbs and intermixed bristle trees from Amazon and candle sticks from Walmart to create a glowing festive look. I used the same candle sticks in my Christmas Eve table that I had purchased from Walmart. I wanted a solid red placemat but didn’t have any. Instead I used these red napkins which worked perfectly. I like a full table but thought with all the plaid that I needed something solid.

I hope everyone is looking forward to a fun and eventful New Years!  If you are cooking at home and want to create a fun table, I hope you find my ideas helpful.  Tablescapes are like interior design.  Have fun, be creative and don’t be afraid to mix patterns.  As long as you keep with the same colors and shades, it will work.  On this table, I used 4 different shades of green, stripes and plaid together, and it all worked.  Intermix solids into your design if you have busy patterns to even out your design and give it balance.

Awh thank you so much. It was a lot of fun putting this together. Those figurines have been sitting on my buffet table and it dawned on me as I was putting this table together how cute they would be as an accent.
