doTERRA Essential Oils for Dogs and Cats
I’ve been hearing so much about essential oils lately and was excited to meet someone who sells them. So I set up an appointment with doTERRA Wellness Advocate, Emily McConaughy, and we met to discuss the oils I was interested in. Let me tell you that I was very impressed with Emily’s knowledge, passion, and presentation and I placed my first order. My doTERRA Aromatouch Diffused Kit will arrive tomorrow! So excited! Loving My Oil Life – Facebook
Not only was I interested in oils that could help with my allergies, I was so interested in the essential oils that could help, not only Jake and Maggie, but all the other fur babies out there as well. That’s when Emily showed me a two-sided card for cats and dogs listing the condition, essential oils, and application along with a key code at the bottom showing the type of application allowed. Essential oils can be used aromatically, topically, or internally and can be combined with different oil blends. The only oil that is NOT pet friendly is MELALEUCA because animals cannot metabolize it the same as humans can. So be very careful not to use this in any form or mixed with a blend. And if your like me, I make a call to my vet if I’m not sure about something I’m wanting to give to my pets.
In the spring of 2008, a group of healthcare and business professionals got together, organized a company, and named it doTERRA, a Latin derivative meaning “Gift of the Earth”. Their commitment to quality takes into account modern practices of testing to ensure purity, potency, and consistency. doTERRA partners with chemists, biological and microbiological scientists, botanists, and medical professionals to create a comprehensive understanding necessary for proper sourcing, analysis, and use of essential oils. The battery of tests doTERRA uses is part of the CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade quality protocol. The tests included in the CPTG protocol include:
Organoleptic Testing
Mass Spectrometry
Gas Chromatography
Microbial Testing
Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)
Chirality Testing
Isotopic Analysis
Heavy Metal Testing (as needed)
Stringent standards of safety and efficacy are applied to all doTERRA Essential Wellness products. Guided by their Scientific Advisory Board, doTERRA uses only top development and manufacturing partners who maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification and enjoy industry reputation for superior innovation and quality.
From pet health (cysts, bladder infections, hot spots, allergies, anxiety, seizures, breathing trouble just to name a few), restoring balance, customizing a wellness plan, creating oil blends, shampoo to cleaning, or reducing toxic load, Emily can help answer all your questions.
Give Emily a call at 724-462-6472. She is a great teacher!
I hope you enjoyed this post. Thank you to Emily for taking the time to meet with me.
