Thanksgiving Day Doggie Brittle
Happy Monday everyone! I’m hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year and it got me thinking about what I’m going to make the dogs for their turkey dinner when this Thanksgiving Doggie Brittle came to mind. I had a box of Stella and Chewy’s Grain Free Stella’s Stew (Beef) in the refrigerator that I needed to use but wasn’t quite sure what to do with it other than pour it over their food. I figured why not mix some ingredients together and see if they liked my recipe. This recipe came...

Doggie Pumpkin Cookies
Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s November 2nd and what better way to kick off November than with these Doggie Pumpkin Cookies. Shaped in a ghost, bat, bone, and flower disk, these puffed up cookies are lab approved. The dough is rolled out to approximately 1/4 inch thick, baked in the oven for 18 minutes and comes out slightly puffy in the middle and crunchy on the ends. Made with healthy dog approved ingredients, these treats were a hit especially with Maggie who never left my side while I...

Black Cake With Orange Cream Cheese Icing
This is a re-post: This is such a fun recipe for this time of year. Honestly, you could make it for any holiday and just change the color of the icing. How about black cake and red icing for Christmas anyone? Happy Monday everyone! And Happy Halloween! Halloween is my favorite holiday and I always celebrate it by curbing my sweet tooth and creating something sweet to eat. If my aunts are reading this, they might be laughing because my whole family can relate. We all have that sweet...

Chocolate Pumpkin Cookies
Happy Wednesday everyone! Can you believe it’s almost Halloween! I thought these Chocolate Pumpkin Cookies would be perfect for this time of year. The base is a chocolate cookie that has been given a boost of black gel food coloring which makes these cookies look jet black and goes perfectly with the colors of Halloween. I sprinkled green sugary crystals and chocolate bits over them right out of the oven and added a Mellocreme Pumpkin on top for a pop of color and sugary sweetness. There...

Hiking In Pennsylvania And Enjoying Nature With Your Pup
Happy Monday everyone! We enjoyed a beautiful fall weekend hiking in the hills of Pennsylvania and came upon a beautiful old church. The Service United Presbyterian Church was established in 1790 and sits upon a gorgeous property with hills all around it. The church doors open to a sparkling lake and setting full of beautiful trees and falling leaves. John Anderson Memorial Cemetery and Service United Presbyterian, Church, RD 1, Aliquippa, Pa. Founded 1790. Has graves of forty-nine veterans...

Pumpkins And Skulls Table
Happy Wednesday everyone! I’m so excited to show you my Pumpkins And Skulls Table this year! It’s a little bit of spooky, fun, whimsical, shimmery, and striking with the orange and black together. I used these dinner plates that I found at Home Goods in my Skulls And Spiders Table and included pieces that I’ve purchased over the years and more recent including these oh so cute miniature skull candles I found at TJMaxx in Steubenville, OH! You guys, I think this is the my favorite TJMaxx!...

Eggo Diablo
Happy Wednesday everyone! I don’t normally post that many breakfast recipes but this Eggo Diablo is definitely husband approved. Mr. TAL loved it so much that I put it in my Sit, Stay, Eat 2 Cookbook (available for Digital download via my store) and I want to share it on the blog. A portion from each sale of my cookbooks go to Joey’s P.A.W. to help animals in need of wheelchairs and prosthetics. My second book includes breakfast, soups, salads, sandwiches, and doggie treats. Each recipe...

Broiled Lobster
Happy Monday everyone! This broiled recipe is not only fast, easy to make, it is delicious. For my birthday, Mr. TAL surprised me with flowers and a surf and turf dinner! But the big surprise was that he was cooking and all I had to do was watch :-). But…if you know me, you know this was very hard for me to do so I jumped up and made the garlic butter sauce and he did the rest. These broiled lobster tails were better than anything I have ever had and I couldn’t wait to share them with you....

Luxating Patella / Cranial Cruciate Ligament
Happy Wednesday everyone! I’ve mentioned in the last few blog posts that Jake has had some surgery and that surgery was to fix a Luxating Patella and Cranial Cruciate Ligament. He is doing very well but we had some ups and downs with him getting an infection and discharge from the knee cap and incision. I apologize for some of the photos as they are a bit hard to look at but I wanted you to see what this type of surgery looks like. The beginning of August I noticed Jake favoring his back...

Skulls And Spiders Table
Happy Monday everyone! Today on the blog is my Skulls And Spiders Table which was so fun to put together. In previous years, I wanted happy and pumpkins. This year I wanted dramatic and dark so off I went in search of skulls, skeletons, graves, and spiders. Where did I find it all, you ask? I was able to find almost everything at Big Lots (they are running a 20% off on all their fall stuff until 9/23). I made pit stops at Home Goods, Walmart, Dollar General, and Hobby Lobby to complete...
