Pumpkins Galore Tablescape

Sep 19, 2023 | Halloween, Maggie Lane Designs, Tablescapes

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I wanted to get this Pumpkins Galore Tablescape out early enough so that you get inspiration from it for your own tables and homes.  I was at Walmart yesterday and they are putting their Christmas decor out.  All of the fall decor was pushed to one isle to make room.  Between a collection of purchases over the years from Walmart and Big Lots and finding these gorgeous pumpkins at TJMaxx, I was able to put this table together in no time.

Each year I add something to my holiday decor.  It started with these dishes and then grew from there.  I get asked all the time where I store everything and I have to give credit to Mr. TAL.  He built me a large beautiful pantry cabinet in the garage to store all my table decor!

What I’m currently watching:

I’m in the fall mood and can’t wait for my favorite holiday…Halloween.  If you know me, you know I love watching home remodeling shows on HGTV and just came across “We Bought A Funereal Home” and I fell in love with it the first episode.  A quirky family of four and their three dogs (Pork, Beans, and Satan) bought a 36 room 14,000 square foot funeral home and are renovating it into their family home.  This is the perfect combo of old home, antiques, home remodeling, interior design, spirits, and card readings.  The mother is not professionally trained in interior design but has amazing and expensive taste.  Her style is Goth Glam and although not my style, I’m loving her creativity in each room.

As I put this table together, I was watching HGTV and boiling up a homemade concoction of cinnamon sticks, coffee grounds, vanilla and water on the stove.  The house had the coziness of fall and smelled delicious.

Recipe for my potpourri (I found this on Pinterest):

2-4 cinnamon sticks – I used 3
1 cup of made coffee grounds – I used the grounds from my coffee earlier that morning from Folgers Columbian
1-2 tbsp vanilla – I used 2 heaping tablespoons
1 pot of water
Boil and then let simmer

How I made the centerpiece:

*I filled a wooden bread bowl from Home Goods with a small, medium, and large pumpkin from TJMaxx in off white, orange, and light mint/turquoise to match my dishes I bought at Walmart.

*I added a small glass cake stand slightly to the left from TJMaxx and sat a pumpkin candle holder on it for height.  I found it this year at Big Lots along with large matching lanterns I placed throughout the house.

*I filled in the gaps with artificial greenery from Walmart and artificial hydrangeas from a previous arrangement that I made and had left over.

*Note:  This arrangement would also look great with candle sticks and votive candles in between the pumpkins.  It would also look great on a buffet table or mantel!

How I set the table:

I set the table as I normally do but added a little gift for my guests from Walmart’s new fall collection.  The ceramic blocks saying Grateful and Thankful are just a little “thank you” for coming to dinner.  I always like to send my guests home with leftovers and a little something special.

I’m Bobbi Jo, a lab-lover who took my passion for animals and dogs and turned it into something bigger.  When I adopted Jake and Maggie, my love for them became the driving force behind Two Adorable Labs, and my blog was born.  My hope is to not only share them with the world, but to help educate others on the importance of animal health and well-being.

Two Adorable Labs has become a collection of all that I love.  I’ll send one post each week on things that bring me joy on animal health, home decor, and food recipes for humans and our furry friends.  I hope you enjoy these posts and much as I do creating them!

I love hearing from all of you and do my best to respond to each and every one of you.  I always enjoy your comments, feedback, and suggestions so keep them coming!  If I’ve posted a recipe (for our human and our furry friends) and you try it, don’t forget to tag me on Instagram @twoadorablelabs and use #twoadorablelabs.

If you do try and love my recipes, I would greatly appreciate a comment and rating.  I read every single one and respond to them.  It also lets Google know that the website contains quality content.  The more comments and 5-star ratings, the more Google will show my blog in search results!  Thank you so much!
