St. Patrick’s Day Table

Mar 7, 2023 | Maggie Lane Designs, St. Patricks Day, Tablescapes

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Check out my fun St. Patrick’s Day tablescape I put together to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!  I love this holiday but can never find many clover dishes or linens so I was very happy to come across these clover placemats and matching napkins at Home Goods.  I love how the blues and greens blend together seamlessly with such vibrancy.  With the white Corelle dishes from Walmart, my color scheme came together quickly.

St. Patrick's Day Table
Every year Mr. TAL and I celebrate by going out to one of our favorite places for fried fish.  Margaret’s Cafe in Toronto, OH has some of the best cod chunks and fries EVER!  But this year we might try a new place called Bennigan’s in Steubenville, OH so we will have to see who has the best fish :-).

This tablescape is a combination of new and vintage pieces with a St. Patrick’s Day and easy access to everything kinda table.  Have you ever sat down at a table and can’t find the salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, and are in need of a toothpick at the end of your meal?  Well, this table has it all right in the middle.  I used a bread bowl from TJMaxx and filled it with a antique vinegar and oil set, antique shot glasses to hold tooth picks, antique salt and pepper shakers, antique vases to hold silk flowers for height and color and of course, some napkins and sparkly lucky charms from Dollar General.

Place setting
I think the white dinnerware against the green looks very crisp so I added antique scalloped dishes for assorted nuts and dips.  The green tablecloth and napkin rings are from Christmas but who would know if I didn’t say anything!  Ok, so maybe the napkin rings look like a wreath but I loved how well they went with the table :-). I’ll be looking for clover napkin rings next year.

Gold wine glass
Antiques
There are so many colors you could use for your accent colors like, gold, rust, shades of greens, shades of blues, brown, black, yellow, or deep purple.  I already had these gold wine glasses that I bought a few years ago and paired them with the crystal champagne glasses that I bought at a yard sale.  Mr. TAL found them for me and I got 7 of them for $2.00!  Another option for this table would have been to pair everything with crystal glasses and decorative trays and bowls.  Maybe I’ll use that idea next year.

My sweet Maggie

My sweet Maggie waiting patiently for me to finish my table.  The dogs are always with me no matter what I’m doing.  I hope you enjoyed the table.  Check out my Clover Table from last year to get more ideas.  Next year I’ll be buying black cauldrons and filling them with sparkly gold coins.  Adding potted plants will be another fun way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!  Every year I add to my tables.  It’s always fun looking for new baubles for my tables.  Enjoy!
