The Vanderpump Dog Foundation
Happy Holidays to everyone! I’m happy to say that I’m done with shopping, wrapping, and grocery shopping. The tables are set and the tree has been up since December 1st! Thomas and I had a good plan yesterday. We got up early, went for breakfast at Bob Evans and got all of our grocery shopping done before the crowds hit the store! He is always a huge help at the holidays and boy do I appreciate it!!!
We spent the afternoon making perogies. We will have those with our ham on Christmas Eve when my parents come over and we froze the rest for future dinners. Our dining room table is set with our holiday china and will be filled with a 6 pound rib eye roast and homemade pasta and sauces (plus all the extras!) for when the whole family arrives! But the one thing we forgot to do…turn on Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas”. What was wrong with us? LOL. I guess we just enjoyed our own company :-).
Since everything is done and Jake and Maggie are taking a nap, I’m getting caught up on my favorite shows. Anyone watch Vanderpump Rules? Well..I do and I just learned about The Vanderpump Dog Foundation founded by Lisa Vanderpump and her husband Ken Todd in 2016. The board of directors consists of Lisa, Ken, Dr. John Sessa, and Pandora Vanderpump Sabo. The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, founded in 2016, is a 501c3 dog rescue organization, working on both a domestic and international front to help create a better world for dogs globally. (read about the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in my next post)
As I have just heard about this rescue center which is the foundation for their “foundation”, I have not had the chance to visit their center but it is on my list of things I want to do in the future. The information I am writing about in this post has been taken purely from my research via the web.
The website www.vanderpumpdogs.org is packed full of information regarding their foundation, their rescue center, their mission to stop the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China, and plenty of ways on how you can help support the animals. And it doesn’t cost anything but your time to volunteer!
