Two Adorable Labs Announces New Line Of Soy Candles
Happy Monday everyone!!! I’m so excited to tell you…TWO ADORABLE LABS HAS A NEW LINE OF CANDLES OUT NOW!!! This has been a long time coming and I’m thrilled to announce TAL’s hand poured candles are ready to purchase in our store! We have been working on different formulas since August and have chosen to create a soy candle using soy wax! Why soy? Read on to find out. We will definitely be expanding into different scents next year but for now we have 8 delicious scents to fill your home with 4 sizes; 4 oz tin, 8 oz tin, 8 oz glass, and 16 oz glass. Due to COVID, shipping issues, and price increases on the 16 oz glass, I have held off for now in making them but I will be sure to add those next year.

Hazelnut
This rich, sweet Italian nut is great as a flavored coffee or a candle or both!
Roasted Coffee
A fresh pot of coffee brewing in the morning. This fragrance oil is very strong and a little bitter out of the bottle, but a true coffee scent comes through in the candle.
Spiced Pumpkin Latte
One whiff of this and you’ll be transported to your nearest coffee shop and the beloved annual autumn treat. Inhale the delicious blend of rich milk and creamy butter followed by the intoxicating and heady scent of coffee, decadent pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sweet notes of sugared maple and chocolate cream round out this satisfying and heart-warming scent.
Berry Parfait (smells more like blueberry)
This fragrance oil smells just like freshly picked blueberries blended with sugar, vanilla and rich, creamy custard and whipped cream.
Strawberry Parfait
A cross between Strawberry Cream Savers and Strawberry Cobbler. Sweet, creamy and delicious!
Glazed Donut
Fresh, warm doughnuts with lots of gooey glaze dripping off the sides and onto your fingers!
Soy candles are safer for you and your pet. Compared to paraffin wax, soy wax does not have the harmful ingredients such as petroleum, a nonrenewable source that contains carcinogenic substances and does not produce a “clean” burn. Soy candles are made from soybeans, a natural, renewable source grown in many regions by local farmers. A candle made from soy wax burns cleaner with little soot released as the candle burns. The soy candle may accumulate some black soot on the jar, but the amount is much less than paraffin candles. Soy candles are also non-toxic, so they won’t release toxins into the air as they burn.
Derived from the soybean, soy wax is a hydrogenated vegetable oil that turns to a solid at room temperature. After they are harvested, the beans are cleaned, cracked, dehulled, and rolled into flakes. Soy wax contains nothing artificial, which makes it a better alternative to old-fashioned paraffin wax, which is made from petroleum oil and produces harmful by-products when burned or melted. Soy wax is non-toxic making it better both for the environment and your health!
Fragrance oils do not contain Dibutyl Phthalate. IFRA forbids it. What is IFRA? “The International Fragrance Association (IFRA), based in Geneva, Switzerland, and founded in 1973, is the official self-regulatory representative body of the fragrance industry worldwide. Its main purpose is to ensure the safety of fragrance materials through a dedicated science program.”
Cleaner burning. No toxins, carcinogens or pollutants which means our candles are less likely to trigger allergies. And no petro-carbon soot like you get from petroleum-based paraffin candles.
Longer lasting. Soy wax burns cooler which means that you can enjoy your soy wax candle for generally 30-50% longer than a paraffin candle.
Biodegradable and water soluble. Since our candles are made out of soybeans, they are naturally biodegradable which makes accidental spills easier to clean with just hot water, soap and some elbow grease.
No lead or zinc cored wicks are used.
Make sure to trim it to ⅛” to keep your candle burning evenly. Keeping your wick at the correct length can also help to prevent the buildup of residue around the candle. Snuffing the candle out using the lid may produce a crackled top when solidified but should not be a problem when lit again.
See my last post on Two Adorable Labs Accomplishments 2020 (HERE) where I talk more about all that TAL has done this year. Our cookbook will arrive on November 23rd!! I’ll make any adjustments and be able to publish it! I’ll be sure to let all of you know how to purchase it via my online store and my online store on BookBaby.com. I’m so thrilled to be partnering with Joey’s P.A.W. on this project and hope this cookbook raises money to help all those sweet animals who need wheelchairs and prosthetics. You will read more about them in my book.
I hope you enjoyed this post and my tablescape. I chose to accent the candles with red dinnerware and black and white checkered placemats from Walmart.com this year. The 3 piece glass candle centerpiece is from Home Goods this year as well as the fluted polka dot glasses. I found the gold dotted charger plates at Hobby Lobby in the clearance isle this year. The tablecloth was purchased years ago and is part of a sheet set that I used strictly for my tablescapes. I liked the placemats so much that I just ordered matching napkins from Walmart.com and will add red wine glasses for a Valentine’s table this year. I will add greenery along with red lanterns for the middle and quite possibly use my dining room table for more space! I promise I’ll share the photos with you!
I would love to hear what you think of this post. Please comment below and let me know!
