Dog Nog
This is a re-post with updated links and information:
Happy “Friday Treats Friday” everyone! Today on the blog is Dog Nog! Isn’t this the cutest thing…Dog Nog for our doggies! Made of goat’s milk (from The Honest Kitchen), pumpkin puree (from Libby’s), 1 egg yolk (from Vital Farms), and cinnamon (Kroger brand).
This is a great recipe to ring in the cheer during Christmas or New Year’s Eve with your pup! While you sip your Egg Nog, your pup can have his Dog Nog.

This is a fun recipe to make, a very quick and easy one, healthy for your pup, and can be frozen for a Dog Nog popsicle, or poured over his kibble as an extra special treat!
This recipe contains a raw egg. If you feed raw dog food, then you may already be familiar with the benefits of raw eggs for dogs, but this recipe can easily be made without the egg if that is your preference.

I found this recipe on Homes Alive Pets and made it as directed without substituting any ingredients or changing instructions. As always, if you have a special treat for your cat or dog that you would like me to make, feel free to comment and let me know. I will be glad to make it and create a post for you, your friends, and family! Happy Holidays and Enjoy!

They were a little unsure at first but quickly realized this was a delicious treat. I think freezing this recipe in ice cube trays would be fun for them to enjoy eating as well.

Equipment
- Spoon
- Blender
- treat cups or molds
Ingredients
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- 1 cup goat’s milk Honest Kitchen preferred
- 1/2 cup Pumpkin puree Libby's
- sprinkle of cinnamon, options I used a Kroger brand and sprinkled some on top of the Dog Nog
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients together with a hand blender until frothy.
- Pour into a shallow dish and add a sprinkle of cinnamon. Alternatively, you can pour the dog nog over their regular food.
- Store in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze into ice cube trays for up to a month for easy portioning.
