How To Make Black Spaghetti

How To Make Black Spaghetti

Happy Monday everyone!!  Have you ever tasted Black Spaghetti before?  Well, I haven’t until today and I just had to blog about it.  For as much as I love Italian food, I have never seen it before.  I honestly can’t describe it.  It is a combination of looking creepy and almost disgusting so it’s perfect for a Halloween dish.  I can see this at a party, sitting in a big bowl mixed with chunks of extra sharp cheddar, green olives, and doused with Italian Dressing with lots of herbs.  As for the...

Lititz, PA America’s Coolest Small Town

Lititz, PA America’s Coolest Small Town

This is a repost: Mr. Tal and I were discussing some trips we have planned with Jake and Maggie, and our trip to Lititz came up.  We both agreed that this was one of our favorite and most relaxing trips.  We did not bring the dogs on this trip, but Lititz is a dog-friendly destination.  I walked into a pet clothing store that allowed dogs and watched people walk their dogs up and down the boutique-lined streets.  Some were dining with their dogs on outdoor patios.  Everyone I talk to seems to...

Pepper Salami Cheese Bites

Pepper Salami Cheese Bites

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Sometimes we follow the Keto Diet in our house and these Pepper Salami Cheese Bites are perfect for those on this diet.  I scrambled through the refrigerator and cabinets after Mr. TAL declared last week Keto week and came up with this recipe.  I’m not a huge fan of salami but I have to say this recipe is Mrs. TAL (that’s me) approved :-). The salami turned out crispy around the edges and the combination of this ooey gooey cheesy mixture and al dente soft peppers was...

How to Recognize And Treat Cat Dandruff

How to Recognize And Treat Cat Dandruff

Happy Monday everyone!  How to Recognize and Treat Cat Dandruff.  Years ago, my parents started feeding a stray cat that made her home under their shrubs where she had her kittens.  We named her Boo Boo Kitty and she is one of the most amazing cats.  She is still around and well taken care of but her  long fur tends to get tangled quite a bit.  This got me thinking about her skin.  All animals shed dead skin cells but when does it become a problem?  How do we distinguish cat dandruff from pet...

Happy Monday everyone!  We kicked off October with a trip to Cook Forest on Saturday and the pups loved it.  The weather was absolutely beautiful with blue skies, a light breeze, and crisp fall weather in the morning warming up to the 70s by mid afternoon.  We dressed Jake and Maggie up in their new bow ties from The Pampered Pooches (see small businesses I support) and headed out around 8:30 am!  Our 2 hour scenic route up Rt. 28 to Rt. 66 into Clarion to Rt. 36 showed off the beautiful farm...

Mammoth TireBiter Dog Toy Product Review

This is a re-post:  Well....I bought these TireBiter Dog Toys several times since this post went out and always come up with the same review...these tires last about a week before they are destroyed.  But, they last longer than any other toy I buy Jake and Maggie.  If you have a power chewer in the house, try these out and let me know what you think!  Or if you have another dog toy that can last, I would LOVE to know about it :-).    Happy Friday everyone!  Do you have a power chewer in your...
