Easter Tablescape 2021

Mar 30, 2021 | Easter, Maggie Lane Designs, Tablescapes

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I’m so excited to show you my Easter Tablescape this year.  I combined the dishes and cone sculptures from my New Year’s Eve Tablescape with items from last year’s Easter Tablescape I put together and created a new table for Easter 2021.  I changed out the old napkins for these from TJMaxx for a silkier, shinier look to match the plates from Home Goods.  There are several pictures all with different lighting taken at different times of the day.  The sun rises in front of our house and sets in the back where our kitchen is.  I didn’t play with any of the lighting in these pictures because I wanted to show you the natural and organic look of my table as the sun hits it, as well as, throughout the day.

We are planning on a nice dinner at home this year and might just be making Jake’s Glazed Spare Ribs again (if Thomas isn’t sick of having them this week as leftovers).  I have other recipes up my sleeve so no worries here and will be making something deliciously sweet.  If it turns out amazing, I’ll blog about it so you can try the recipe!  I love hearing how the recipes turned out and don’t forget to save to Pinterest or tag me on Instagram @twoadorablelabs.

This entire table was created by using items I found at Home Goods and TJMaxx over the last couple of years along with items handed down through my family and Thomas’ family.  The table runner was his mother’s and the silverware is from my parents.  The heart shaped dish was a purchase I made years ago when I was 19 and out shopping for Christmas gifts for friends.  I guess I liked it so much I had to have one for myself.

This Easter Bunny tray was bought at a charity yard sale for Joey’s P.A.W. for $2.00.  It was originally from Pier 1 and was in perfect condition.  It’s now a part of my Easter table for years to come!  This would be a fun tray to put anything on from cookies to cheese and crackers!

I was never really into decorating for Easter.  It has always crept up on me so fast that I always thought, ah never mind but last year I decided to put together an Easter table and this year had so many ideas as to how I would put together one for next year.

Here are some ideas that are low cost and even crafty!

Go to the dollar store.  Anyone will do.  Our Dollar General has charger plates for a $1.00 a piece.  Grab as many as you need, buy some Hodge Podge glue, your favorite fabric pieces from JoAnn Fabrics or decorative tissue paper.  You will need your necessary paint brush, scissors, and a clean area to work at.  Paint your charger plate with glue and lay on the fabric or paper.  You now have a fun and festive charger to add color, dimension, and life to your table!  Plus this will be fun for you and your kids to do together.

Don’t want to get into all that much crafting but need a specific color charger plate fast?  Paint your charger paint with chalk paint or spray paint it with your favorite color.  Maybe even use glitter!  Just remember, don’t eat off of the plates and wipe lightly with a damp cloth to clean.

Looking to add a gift to each place setting?  How about putting together a mini easter basket customized for each guest’s personality and dietary needs.

Some ideas would include milk chocolate eggs, sugar free gum, a gift card to Hobby Lobby, or if you have made your custom chargers, maybe include the supplies and directions you used to make yours!
