Frozen Applesauce Cinnamon Oat Treat
Happy “Friday Treats Friday” everyone! I’m so excited that October is here! I just picked Jake and Maggie up from the groomers and as they sit quietly in the back seat, I’m talking to them about what fall themed treats I’m going to make them this month! I know they are going to go home and fall fast asleep with dreams of cinnamon and pumpkin swirls dancing in their heads! I’ve dedicated October to everything fall on the blog so stay tuned for dog related posts, DIYs, and treats for us humans and their furry friends. And as always…Lab tested and approved!
I can’t wait to make my mother’s famous pumpkin pie, a new pumpkin nut roll, a very hot pumpkin spice latte, and a baked squash side dish just to name a few!! Here is to my favorite time of the year and to your doggo devouring this Frozen Applesauce Cinnamon Oat treat! It is super easy, super fast (other than the freezing time) and very healthy! Honestly, it is so good (yes, I tasted it) and the pups loved it! Check out these photos of Maggie and Jake….sooooo cute!!! I used my pumpkin face molds I got at Walmart (HERE) which made 36 frozen treats. Want another fall treat to make? Does your pup love puppucchinos? Check out my homemade puppuchino recipe (HERE)!
Tidbit: Make sure you buy unsweetened applesauce. Regular applesauce has sugar which can reck havoc on your pup’s digestive system. As a note: I make homemade treats for the pups but I give in moderation. To much of a good thing could cause stomach upset and diarrhea.
Enjoy!
