Purina Puppy Pro Plan
Update to this post! Purina Pro Plan was great for the pups and highly recommended by our vet. Now that they are 4 years olds, things have changed and I’ve since switched them from Purina to Stella and Chewy’s Raw Coated Kibble.
We’ve had Jake and Maggie alittle over 3 months now. I just took them to the vet yesterday for their second round of shots. Jake weighs in at 27 pounds and Maggie is at 24 pounds. I’m sad because they are getting harder to pick up but I love their little fat rolls and they love my hugs and kisses. The vet said they look healthy and happy and I’m doing everything right. Phew! A great resource for those first time puppy dads and moms out there is Pro Plan Purina Food!
I’ve switched their puppy food to Purina Puppy Pro Plan for large breed dogs with the first ingredient being chicken. Note: Jake And Maggie are not allergic to chicken but some dogs are so be careful. I do have to say that I made several calls to several different vets and everyone of them recommended Purina Puppy Pro for puppies which made me feel even better that I was feeding them the right food. The reason for the switch to large breed dogs was that Jake And Maggie are growing so fast and our vet said the puppy food was a bit higher in calories for our boy Jake.
I’m always concerned about what I’m feeding them both in kibble and treats. If you would like more information about what to feed your dog, check out my previous post Can Dogs Eat Honey

Time is flying by so quickly. Jake And Maggie are now 4 years old and I’ve since switched them Stella and Chewy’s Raw Coated Kibble! It’s been an amazing four years with them and we’ve gone through so much together! From passing their CGC to Therapy Dog Training. I know my pictures leave a lot to be desired but I just couldn’t delete these sweet puppy photos! If you are interested in more pet content, check out my blog posts below. My patient little guy...
This is Jake waiting patiently for me to open up the bag and feed him finally! And Jake and Maggie after eating! They loved the food and I guess it wore them out eating it. LOL! You can see what I call Jake’s birthmark on his nose. It’s a fur line that never lays down…sooooo cute!!
