Valentine’s Day Milkshake

Feb 3, 2021 | Drinks, Food

This is a re-post from last year.  I had a totally different post ready to go and when I hit send, all was lost.  I wanted to get a post out today (especially to my new subscribers as a thank you) while my technical support is working on the problem.  When I’m back up and running, you will see my “Paw Print Tablescape” come through. I ‘m so excited to share this table with you along with my Galentine’s Table I have for next week!  That should go out most likely on Monday so stay tuned :-). Scroll down for some fun pictures, an easy recipe, and more drink recipes (I just added).  Thank you so much for reading. I appreciate you all so much!

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It’s the middle of the week and I figured you needed a little pick me up like this extra sweet Red Valentine’s Day Milkshake with white chocolate dipped candy covered pink and white marshmallows!  Yes, I know…it is blistery cold outside with several inches of snow on the ground but I just had a craving for a milkshake!  I will just turn the heat up, put the fire place on and layer on the blankets.  I will be fine :-).
I also wanted to show another way to display marshmallows.  Having a Galentine’s Day party or a Valentine’s Day party?  Dip marshmallows in your favorite chocolate or drizzle with your favorite chocolate, add your favorite crystals and sprinkles, top with piece of angel food cake, a strawberry, use a decorative toothpick and lay in a pattern on a fun holiday plate.  Sophistiplate.com has some great and fun toothpicks for party favors and decor!

You will need the following ingredients to make this recipe.  Any brand will do and measurements are basically to your liking.  I love extra sweet milkshakes so I typically add way more vanilla than a normal person would so take that into consideration.  I also add way more creamer than a normal person would, so again, take that into consideration.  Have fun with dipping your white chocolate and your sprinkles.  Remember, making your milkshake is your masterpiece.  It’s like art :-). Have fun with it.  And if it doesn’t turn out like you like it, make another one!  I chose to make four small batches instead of two large glasses.  I thought it would be fun to take the pictures this way.

I bought two different kinds of straws; one plastic and one paper.  The solid color straws are plastic and the striped straws are paper.  As you can see, Jake and Maggie are thoroughly impressed with my project and my photography.  Haha

These adorable heart shaped plates came three in a pack from Home Goods.  They have a bit of shimmer in them and make a perfect accent to my holiday tables.  I also used 4 different style glasses I already had at home. Sometimes it’s fun to mix different styles instead of using all of the same design.
