Puppy Pretzels With Cheese
Happy Friday everyone! It’s “Friday Treats Friday” and we have homemade pretzels and cheese this week! First, let me just tell you that this recipe smells soooooo good! It is like having an apple pie baking in your oven. I just had to taste the pretzel right out of the oven and although a little bland for me, Jake and Maggie really enjoyed their snack. They are the smartest pups and have...
Electrical Safety And Your Pet
This is a re-post: November is here and with Christmas right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to post this again along with some updated information. Thomas is a wealth of information when its comes to electrical safety, codes and standards. He now has a YouTube channel, as well as, his social media links which I have posted below. Feel free to contact him with any questions. ...
Frozen Yogurt Blueberry Bones
Happy "Friday Treats Friday" everyone! What fun plans do you have this weekend? If you read Wednesday's post Caprese Sandwich (HERE), I told you about our project building custom cabinets in our garage. Well, we have been working really hard for a while now so we are taking Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off to enjoy some down time and to celebrate our Anniversary! We have been working late...
Can Dogs Get Dry Skin From Chlorinated Water?
I recently took Jake and Maggie to swim in my sister’s pool and two days later, I noticed dry skin and dandruff on Jake and then Maggie. This prompted me to do some research as I did not think about the chlorinated water giving them dry, itchy skin. I know that the dogs should not drink the pool water and also made sure that Jake’s nose was not getting sunburned. With him being a chocolate...
Mini Tuna Bites
Happy “Friday Treats Friday” everyone! This week flew by and here we are! I was so excited to post this recipe because I made a promise that I would include more cat related posts and when I found this one on Chewy.com, I knew I had to make it for you all! I changed it just a bit along with the name and will give you both recipes. These Mini Tuna Bites are super simple to make and super...
Steak, Broccoli, And Whole Wheat Pasta Dish
Happy Friday everyone! It’s another “Friday Treats Friday” for you and I’m so excited to talk about this “dish” I made for the pups. I will say this right now…It is LAB TEST, DOGGIE APPROVED! This isn’t a treat, it’s a whole dish but you can very easily make it into a treat by dehydrating the meat into a jerky. I was at the store debating on whether I should make Thomas and I a rib eye steak...
Is Weed And Feed Toxic To Dogs And Cats?
Re-post - Spring is here and we are thinking about all of the outside work that needs done. Mr. TAL and I have a long list and are looking forward to cooking out on the grill, sitting on our patio with the dogs, and looking out over our well maintained property. This post has been my top read and shared post for the last two years and I hope you find it helpful. Rest assured that Jake and...
Mushroom Poisoning In Dogs And Cats
This is a repost: I wrote this post back in 2020, and I'm glad I did. We recently had our mulch done, and then so much rain has come down that it's creating mold mounds and mushrooms everywhere. Mold mounds are typically non-toxic to dogs, and when you see them, it's ok to flip them over or spray them out of the way with the hose. But what if you do find toxic mold or aren't sure at all? I...
Frozen Banana Bites
Happy Friday everyone! It’s “Friday Treats Friday” and I hope you are enjoying these as much as I am. I have to admit that I was a bit stumped this week on what to create for you. I feel like I’ve been using whole wheat floured recipes so much and wanted to change things up. I had some very ripe bananas in the refrigerator and just bought a jar of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Unrefined). I...
Pupperoni Pizzas
Happy “Friday Treats Friday” everyone!!!! If you didn’t read my post on Wednesday (HERE), I talked about my love for pizza and the idea came to me…why not make mini Pupperoni Pizzas for Jake and Maggie?!?! We have a major project going on at home making custom made cabinets and drawers for our garage. Thomas and I put our heads together and came up with a plan, made several trips to Lowe’s,...
