Root Beer Float With Chocolate Syrup

Mar 8, 2021 | Drinks, Food

Happy Monday everyone!  I made this sweet and delicious Root Beer Float awhile back (HERE) but changed it up a bit this weekend by adding CHOCOLATE syrup!!  OMG!  This is what it has been missing.  Can you taste it now…vanilla ice cream, root beer, whip cream, and chocolate.  Soooo yummy!  I bought these adorable mugs at TJMaxx and used them on my Clover Tablescape (HERE) and they were the perfect size for this sweet yummy drink!

This recipe is super easy.  Pop a bowl of popcorn with extra butter and make this float for a night of binge watching Bridgerton!  Yes, Thomas and I have binged watched every episode and can’t wait for more!

Ingredients

  • 6 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2 bottles root beer
  • chocolate syrup
  • whipped cream

Instructions

  • Pour root beer into your glass half way
  • Add vanilla ice cream scoops to your glass or mug
  • Top with whipped cream and then chocolate

Notes

You can also add the ice cream first and pour the root beer after but be careful because it foams up and over your glass.
I poured my chocolate on top of the whipped cream but you can also add a tablespoon of chocolate to your glass or mug and stir.  I always say the more chocolate, the better!
