Two Adorable Labs Celebrating Independence Day

Jul 4, 2019 | Holiday

Independence Day is almost over and we had a blast celebrating it with the pups and family.  It was a great day surrounded by the people we love.  Thomas and I are grateful for our America and being an American.  We have all that we need and are grateful for our blessings.  We cooked on the grill…well, actually our cousin cooked for us on the grill (because he is an awesome grill master) and we enjoyed steak, shrimp skewers, green beans, and salad.  I also made my mother’s macaroni salad and a side of sautéed portobello mushrooms and onions for the steak.  They brought us wine from their trip to Gettysburg, PA which I can’t wait to try.  Mine had to be chilled so I stuck with water today!  Tears of Gettysburg is my favorite wine from that area and I’ll be enjoying a cold glass tomorrow night!!
I couldn’t wait to put my red, white, and blue Lays on the dogs that I bought at the Dollar General.  I found 2 for a $1.00 which was perfect because I knew they wouldn’t last long.  I was right…I had to take them off after pictures because they were about to strangle themselves with them!  The pictures were a tad bit hard to take because they were so excited and curious to see what was around their necks.  This is a play-by-play of what it was like taking pictures of Jake and Maggie celebrating their second July 4th with us.
