Spring Tablescape

Apr 7, 2021 | Easter, Maggie Lane Designs, Tablescapes

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It’s a beautiful week to put together a spring table!  The sun is shining and it’s 80 degrees here in WV!  I’ve decided to plant another herb garden this year (see my 1st herb garden last year) and I’m going bigger this year so wish me luck!  This table is a combination of dinnerware I’ve had and have used in previous tablescapes.  These herb and floral dishes are made of bamboo which make them safe to eat on, environmentally safe, easy to clean, and can be put in the dishwasher and microwave.  I combined the herb packets and a wonderful gift from a friend and incorporated it all into this design.

I made a quick trip to JoAnn Fabrics and found this adorable flower tile for 50% off!  I already had flowers at home from a previous project which matched perfectly with my table decor.  I cut the flower stems separately and just added them into the square while adding height and dimension.  I placed the colors sporadically through the flower tile and placed it in the middle on a table runner made of napkins that I had purchased from Home Goods years ago.  Just lay your napkins at a diagonal over lapping with the pattern going the same way and you’ve got yourself a runner!

This Amaryllis Red Lion bulb kit is going to be beautiful.  It is incredibly easy to plant.  All you have to do is add the disk (compacted soil) into 1 and 1/2 cups of warm water, wait 15 minutes for it to expand and plant the bulb root side down leaving about a 1/3 of the bulb to show.  Sit in well lit spot at room temperature and watch it grow!  I am planting several herbs this year including Italian leaf parsley, arugula, rosemary, basil, and thyme and might just re-pot this flower to add some color!

I chose to not fill the glasses because I thought these straws looked so pretty with the other colors on the table.  They were a bright coral and gave the table a pop of color.  All of the items on the table either came from Home Goods, TJMaxx, Kirklands, JoAnn Fabrics, Kroger, and Lowes!

Spring is here!  Set a pretty table, invite some friends over, give each guest a packet of their favorite herb or a bulb kit like this one with a handmade card detailing the instructions on how to plant, make my fun flirty drink and enjoy yourself.

Enjoy!  Hope you like my tablescape!  Want more related content, check out my posts here:

Thank you! Those flower tiles are so easy to work with and so versatile. I can imagine a long table with several squares lined down the middle. Add flowers and candles and it would look so beautiful for any event.
