It’s Fall Y’all

Oct 21, 2020 | Food, Holiday, Maggie Lane Designs, Sweets

This is a repost:  We are having a gorgeous day here in WV.  The sun is out, the leaves are changing to those gorgeous gold, rust, and green colors, and a light breeze is blowing.  I just took Jake and Maggie for a walk, and they were smelling all the fall smells along the way.  Some say fall isn’t for another week, but I say fall started on September 1st.  I’ve got the outside of the house ready and decorated for the season.  I think I’m the only one in the neighborhood, but that’s ok.  I wanted to resend this post because it’s a fun way to kick off September and October, and it can also give you ideas for gifts for any holiday.  I’ve added more links and photos throughout the post as well.

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  It’s Fall Y’all, and I’m loving all the new fall decor this year.  I got these spooky face glasses at Walmart the other day, along with these adorable straws. Although I don’t have any matching dishes, I thought of three different ways to use them.  Check out this fun post of spooky glassware, orange milkshake, white chocolate pistachio pudding, and a floral arrangement.  Want another idea for fall florals?  Check out my post (HERE) on how to use fashion pins in your arrangements and my DIY Fall Wreath (HERE).
Want more ideas on how to use these festive glasses? Fill them with a drink and serve up something sweet after dinner, create a fun Halloween breakfast, fill these glasses with mimosas and a fun straw, and end breakfast with these Morning Glory Breakfast Muffins.  Serve up some spookiness at lunch with apple cider and a cinnamon stick alongside a BLT sandwich!  Create a sweet dessert glass filled with broken brownies, butterscotch morsels, caramel, and whipped cream.  Pack it with more sweetness by combining cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar whipped on top.  Set up a tablescape using these adorable glasses.  Give as a gift and make it even more special by filling it with candy!

Maggie loves these glasses!

I think she was asking me if this was for her.  Nope, but she did get a dental chew from Chewy.com after we took this picture.

Florals from Kroger

Kroger had a large selection of fall flowers on sale today. I used a spooky face glass as the base and put a floral arrangement together in a matter of minutes.  Make this a gift by adding a gift card or candy, wrap in cellophane and tie with a beautiful fall bow!
